When I was a kid, I wondered why people looked so desperate and depressed when it came to break-up. They cut their wrist, starved themselves, hid in the darkroom without doing anything but regretting the past. Worse, many people chose to commit suicide as a way to end the sorrow.

At school, students who had trouble in their relationship usually got bad academic results. I knew this for sure because some of my classmates were in that situation. They used to be excellent students until love knocked on the door of their lives. Then, boom! They fell from cloud nine of reputation to nearly the bottom. I was pretty scared that the same thing would happen to me and a few years later it came true.

It was a destiny that I met a person online in LA, California and we exchanged numbers. We texted for a while about life, work, family, hobby,… I found everything ok, that person was knowledgeable and interesting to chat. One day, I wanted the relationship to take a step further, so I asked that person to video call.

The first time we talked through Facetime was very excited and compelling. We talked about many topics, that person was charming and…
